The media in Syria as well as the media of the opponents of Bashar al-Assad's regime are reporting the occurrence of heavy Israeli airstrikes in Damascus, Syria at noon on Thursday, November 14.

The attacks coincided with the arrival of Ali Larijani, special adviser to the leader of the Islamic Republic, in Damascus for his official visit.

SANA, the official Syrian news agency, announced that at least 15 people were killed and 16 more injured in the attacks by the "Israeli enemy" in the capital.

SANA added that residential buildings in Damascus were the target of Israeli airstrikes.

The IDF also announced that it attacked army buildings and the headquarters of the "Islamic Jihad Organization" in Syria.

After the publication of this news, the Jamaran news site wrote that "a few minutes ago, a building near the meeting place of Ali Larijani with the head of the Supreme National Security Council of Syria was hit by three missiles." This news website added that "Ali Larijani is in perfect health".

The Israeli Army Radio said on Thursday about this airstrike that "the purpose of the operation was not a targeted attack against a specific person or persons".
