Speaking with Ben Shapiro, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the crucial role his father, Benzion Netanyahu, played in the United States’ recognition of the Jewish state.

He lobbied tirelessly on behalf of Israel and emphasized the fledgling state’s need for support from the United States.

Benzion Netanyahu approached Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower and U.S. Secretary of State Dean Acheson and persuaded Republican Party leaders to include recognition of a Jewish state in its 1944 platform.

Amazing clip. Lost people are not aware of the great man who was Benzion Netanyahu, but we are very much aware of Bibi and Yoni, his heroic sons. The Jewish people owe this family a great deal.
