Sheikh Husham Al-Husainy of the Karbalaa Islamic Educational Center in Dearborn, who was invited to deliver the benediction at President Donald Trump's inauguration, said in a July 19, 2022 TV appearance that the Islamic Republic of Iran is the "light" going into Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, and all over.

He stated that the "change is coming," the world is drawing towards "the end," and the "spiritual tsunami" and liberation from oppression is coming. Sheikh Husham Al-Husainy is a Shi'ite Islamic scholar, who arrived in America from Iraq in the 1970s.
