Julie Kuperstein, the mother of Bar Avraham, who has been held captive in Gaza for over a year, recounted a harrowing experience on the Channel 14's 'Patriots" program.
She revealed that three weeks ago, she received a distressing phone call from a terrorist with an Iranian accent claiming to be part of Hamas.
During the call, the terrorist informed Julie that several families of abductees had received similar communications as part of a psychological warfare tactic. He demanded that if she wanted to see her son again, she needed to take specific political actions, asserting that the families of the kidnapped have significant influence.
He suggested she go to The Hague to lodge complaints against the military, push for the government’s downfall, and participate in protests against Prime Minister Netanyahu. In their exchange, the terrorist accused her of not doing enough to secure her son's release. In response, Julie emphasized that she was actively praying and advocating for Bar and the other hostages.
The caller then threatened her, claiming that failing to comply with his demands would mean she would never see Bar again. In a powerful rebuttal, Julie responded, "Bar is in the hands of the Creator of the world, and so are you." There was a moment of silence before the terrorist unexpectedly replied, "Well done, madam."
