This evening, Israel attacked and destroyed an Iranian weapons convoy on Syrian soil on its way to Lebanon.
A number of people were killed and injured today, Monday, as a result of an attack by the Israeli Air Force on a weapons convoy of militias associated with the "Iranian Revolutionary Guards" on the Homs-Damascus International Highway, in the southern countryside of the Homs district in central Syria.
Local Syrian sources said that Israeli drones attacked a convoy of three trucks carrying weapons near the "Shamsin" area, in the south of Homs Governorate, on the Homs-Damascus International Highway, in central Syria, killing two people and injuring others who were inside the truck convoy.
The sources confirmed that the convoy that was attacked belonged to the Iraqi militias supported by the "Iranian Revolutionary Guards" and entered from Iraqi territory through the "Al-Qaim" border crossing between Syria and Iraq yesterday.
In a seperate, but related targeted attack on Sunday, The head of the "Golan" plan on behalf of Hezbollah (Lebanese) in Syria, Ali Musa Dakdok, was killed yesterday evening, Sunday, in addition to the killing of four other members of Hezbollah, as a result of an Israeli airstrike that was carried out on a residential building behind the city hall In the Sayda Zainab neighborhood area, south of the capital Damascus.
