Stephen K. Bannon launched his podcast, “War Room,” on Tuesday morning, just hours after his release from federal prison. He shared that during his time away, he observed a strong sentiment among young Black and Hispanic men, stating they “detest” Kamala Harris.
Bannon had served four months for contempt of Congress after ignoring a subpoena from the partisan January 6 Committee, which was largely criticized for its selective membership chosen by then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), contradicting established precedents.
Upon his release, Bannon was greeted by family and friends before heading to the War Room studio to resume his commentary.
He started by addressing the narrative pushed by Democrats and mainstream media regarding former President Donald Trump’s recent rally at Madison Square Garden, which had been inaccurately labeled a “Nazi” reenactment.
“The rhetoric being used, calling this audience ‘fascists’ and mischaracterizing that incredible rally—something Kamala Harris and the Democrats could never replicate—led me to a realization during my time as a political prisoner: young African-American and Hispanic men have a strong dislike for Kamala Harris,” Bannon remarked.
Vice President Harris has faced challenges in retaining the traditional support of minority voters, particularly among Black and Hispanic men. In a bid to mitigate the fallout, her campaign highlighted a controversial joke made by a comedian at the rally about Puerto Rico, which Bannon dismissed as a “bad” throwaway line.
Bannon asserted that Pelosi's attempt to silence him and his audience had ultimately failed. “The four months in federal prison didn’t break me; they empowered me,” he stated.
