Iran’s top diplomat said Sunday that the Islamic regime rejects direct negotiations with the United States over its nuclear program.
Trump responded by saying that the United States would launch a military attack on Iran if Tehran does not hold talks with Washington.
NTD News anchor Don Ma spoke with Alireza Jafarzadeh, deputy director of the Washington office of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and David Wormser, a Middle East analyst at the Center for Security Policy, about Iran’s intentions and what lies behind its refusal, as well as Trump’s response and the possibility that Israel will lead the attacks on Iran for the United States?
According to Jafarzadeh, to remove the nuclear threat, “it is better for the international community to focus on the situation in Iran itself, because the Iranian regime fears that it will not be able to withstand another uprising.”
