US News & World Report claims that the Israeli army is the fourth strongest after the USA, China and Russia; The country is the 6th most powerful political power and the 10th most powerful in the world; But ranked only 37th in the 'best' table.
Israel is one of the 10 most powerful, politically influential and militarily powerful countries in the world, according to a 2022 summary published by US News & World Report.
The newspaper also found that the Jewish state has among the strongest international alliances.
Overall, Israel was ranked 37th in the list of the "best" countries in the world out of 85 countries in the annual list.
Among the countries considered the most powerful because they "consistently dominate the news headlines, engage policy makers and shape global economic patterns", US News & World Report puts Israel in tenth place. At the top of the list was the United States, followed by China and then Russia.

Israel's highest ranking was its military, which was placed fourth, after Russia, the US and China.
As for political influence, Israel was placed in sixth place, right after Germany and before France.
US News & World Report described Israel as "the only Jewish nation in the world" and "a small country on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean".
"Because of its relatively small size, the country played a large role in global affairs," it said. "The country has a strong economy, sites of importance to several religions and tense relations with many of its Arab neighbors."
US News & World Report said the rankings were based on a model developed jointly with BAV Group and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. A set of 73 characteristics for countries was presented in a survey that sampled 17,000 people between April 30 and July 13, 2022.
The top three countries in the overall ranking were Switzerland, Germany and Canada. The USA was in fourth place, followed by Sweden, Japan, Australia, Great Britain, France and Denmark who made up the top ten.
