In the last hours, there are ongoing violent demonstrations in Latakia, the norther port city in Syria.
It is now being said that the Syrian regime forces used live fire against the demonstrators and have killed many of them, which just made the demonstrations larger and more violent.
Crowds demonstrated today in the town of Qardaha against the new Syrian government. The demonstrators, who are affiliated with the Assad regime, shouted Shiite slogans and attacked the local police headquarters – where the militants of the new Syrian government were holed up.
The reports which CANNOT be yet verified, say about 50 protesters were killed in Qardha in the rural area of Latakia Governorate, and dozens were injured.
While the Allawites are demonstrating against the shooting of the regime - Muslims living in certain neighborhoods of Latakia city and the city of Jabala are coming out and insulting the Alawites with violence of their own.
