NEWSRAEL: Just when you thought Iran had enough to keep it busy, it surprises once again by opening up another area of contention, this time on the doorstep of Europe.
The Moroccan Foreign Ministry said yesterday that Iranian Revolutionary Guards are in southern Algeria and are trying to re-arm the Polisario separatist militia.
According to Iranian sources, Iran's intention is to control the Strait of Gibraltar through Polisario separatists and thereby achieve free passage and bypass sanctions to and from Europe.
The announcement of the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
"Algeria denounces the French government's decision to recognize Morocco's autonomy for the Western Sahara region. Algeria imposes all the consequences that may be on the French government and on it alone."

The Polisario separatist militia is a movement that demands recognition of sovereignty and political independence for the inhabitants of the Western Sahara region.
Business continues to get complicated. The Iranians work neatly and cleanly in every direction they turn.
The Algerian statement points to the vacuum created which the Iranians were waiting for and can exploit.
A question of time, as I wrote in today's report, until the Iranian takeover of the Strait of Gibraltar and along the way backing the Algerians in a possible future war against Morocco.
