President-elect Donald Trump said at the press conference after his meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu that "it was a fantastic conversation." He added that "the relations and ties between the US and the people of Israel go back generations. I am confident that our alliance will be stronger than ever."
Against the backdrop of the desire to bring the normalization talks with Saudi Arabia back to the table, Trump said that "I believe that many countries will join the Abraham Accords. Many people will sign very quickly."
He added: "We talked about ways in which Hamas will disappear."
On the transfer of Gaza residents to other countries, the president said: "1.8 million Gazans need to end their bad luck and move to another place. We are going to bring something fantastic. We will move them to a beautiful and quiet place where they can live in peace and harmony.
They cannot go back and if they do go back it will end badly for another 100 years.
I hope the ceasefire will bring an end to the bloodshed. There are many countries that want to absorb the Gazans to put an end to the death, destruction and bad luck."
Trump declared that "the United States will take control of the Gaza Strip and will be responsible for owning and clearing it of all the dangerous bombs and tunnels."
