The Director General of the Ministry of Defense, Colonel (Ret.) Eyal Zamir, arrived on a working visit to India, at the head of a delegation from the Ministry of Defense, to promote the strategic dialogue and security cooperation between Israel and India.
The Ministry of Defense delegation met with the Director General of the Indian Ministry of Defense, the Chief of Staff and the heads of the branches of the Indian Army. The Director General of the Ministry of Defense presented to his colleagues the strategic situation in the Middle East and the lessons of the war so far, emphasizing the military and technological capabilities that the IDF operates in the various sectors.
In addition, the parties discussed ways to deepen the security ties between the defense and defense ministries of the countries in a variety of axes.
The Director General of the Ministry of Defense also held an Israeli-Indian Industries Forum, led by 'Sivet' and with the participation of senior Israeli and Indian defense industries, to promote dialogue, remove barriers and increase the potential for industrial-defense cooperation between Israeli and Indian industries.
The Ministry of Defense delegation also toured joint production lines established by the Israeli defense industries in India, in support of the make in India policy promoted by the Indian government.
