The newspaper "Al-Watan", close to the Syrian regime, revealed that Iran is preparing to carry out projects in the capital Damascus, the most important of which is the construction of a subway under the city.
The newspaper reported, citing "private sources", that there were 3 projects proposed during the last visit of the mayor of Tehran to Damascus at the invitation of its governor, Mohammad Tariq Krishati, as part of what was called the "twin cities" of Damascus with Tehran.
The newspaper reported that the first project is related to an electric bus project, the second is related to solid waste treatment, and the third project is a subway project under the city of Damascus, noting that these projects are currently undergoing programming tests.
NZIV REPORT ADDS: It is clear to Iran that if it takes control of Syria, and in doing so overcomes Russia, which is preoccupied with the war with Ukraine and the invasion of the Kursk region, it will have to withstand an aggressive Israeli attempt to push it out of Damascus, the capital, which is less than 50 km from the Israeli border, and thus to neutralize the Iranian threat.
The Iranian strategy now concentrates on the main issue, bringing all military activity against Israel underground as they did in southern Lebanon and Gaza while realizing that Israel has difficulty dealing with such a nature of combat.
