From the sound of his name, Rahman is likely a Pakistani. We don’t know yet if he’s an immigrant or born to immigrants. He was assigned to Cambodia. Why was a Pakistani CIA official in Cambodia given access to materials involving Israel and Iran?
One possible answer is that Iran operates in Cambodia. Iranians use Cambodia for drug trafficking operations and they have visa-free travel to Cambodia. It’s possible that Rahman was tasked with keeping an eye on Iran and was compromised by Iran. That’s purely speculative.
