In an October 27, 2024, lecture at the Islamic Institute of America in Dearborn Heights, MI, Shi'ite religious scholar Ahmad Qazwini claimed that politicians in America can be bought like slaves or prostitutes.

He argued that AIPAC "buys" politicians to support "the Zionists" and that Miriam Adelson bought Trump to "destroy the Palestinians."

Qazwini proposed that Shi'ites raise $100 million to "buy" presidential candidate Donald Trump.
