In a morning interview with Fox News, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said Trump will sign an order addressing antisemitism.

Anti-Israel protesters appeared on campuses throughout the U.S. after Hamas' invasion and massacre in Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, and the ensuing war in Gaza.

Trump's order will give agency and department leaders 60 days to offer recommendations to combat antisemitism, the Post reported.

It also outlines plans for the Justice Department to investigate pro-Hamas graffiti and intimidation, including on college campuses.

Aliens, including students with visas, who broke laws as part of anti-Israel protests are subject to deportation, the order says.

In December, House Republicans released findings and recommendations after an investigation into antisemitism on U.S. college campuses. The suggestions included that the executive branch should aggressively enforce Title VI and hold universities accountable for violating their obligations.

The report also said former President Joe Biden's State Department and Department of Homeland Security stonewalled records requests about the number of visa-holders among those protesters.

In November, The Guardian reported that universities were bracing for funding cuts and investigations under the Trump administration, and a push to crack down on the anti-Israel protests probably would provide officials with their opening salvo.

During a May rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, then-candidate Trump talked about the on-campus protests.

"When I'm president, we will not allow our colleges to be taken over by violent radicals," he told the crowd. "And if you come here from another country and try to bring jihadism or anti-Americanism or antisemitism to our campuses, we will immediately deport you. You'll be out of that school."
