Reports of youth sex trafficking have surged threefold under President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, according to TheFreePress.com.ย
Landon Dickeson, director of Bob’s House of Hope in Denton, Texas, highlighted the horrific experiences of teens from Central and South America, many arriving in dire conditions after enduring severe abuse from traffickers. Victims often suffer brain damage from drugs, physical torture, and emotional trauma, with cartels using brutal tactics to maintain control.
Data from the Department of Health and Human Services, obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, shows the agency issued 1,143 Certification and Eligibility Letters in 2021, 2,226 in 2022, and 2,148 in 2024, reflecting a significant increase compared to the 562 letters issued annually under Donald Trump.
Since October 2020, a total of 5,517 letters have been issued, averaging 1,837 per year, with child trafficking cases under Biden and Mayorkas outpacing adult cases threefold. Concerns about potential fraud have also been raised, similar to issues with the "U Visa" for crime victims, which fast-tracks young individuals toward citizenship.
