A shocking new revelation has emerged: Hamas had planned a massive assault on Be’er Sheva on October 7, sending 120 elite Nukhba terrorists toward the city.
However, when their advance was blocked, they redirected their murderous rampage toward Israeli border communities—unleashing even greater destruction than originally intended.
The revelation comes from a recording of Colonel Elad Shushan, head of investigations into the battle at Kibbutz Nirim, aired Tuesday evening on Kan News. In the recording, Col. Shushan disclosed that Hamas’s meticulously planned terror operation aimed to strike deep inside Israel.
“We seized this document four months after the October 7th massacre. It exposes the movement of large-scale terror forces—120 Hamas operatives advancing toward Be’er Sheva. Fortunately, they were stopped before reaching their target,” Col. Shushan stated.
But what happened next was even more catastrophic. “These terrorists didn’t retreat to Khan Yunis after being blocked. Instead, they redirected their bloodthirsty assault to the nearest Israeli communities, escalating the scale of the massacre.”
Intelligence findings indicate that after encountering security forces, the terrorists pivoted toward the Eshkol Regional Council, resulting in an onslaught far deadlier than Hamas’s initial plan of deploying just 30 operatives per community. This explains why entire towns were overrun, leaving devastation in their wake.
This new evidence sheds light on just how close Hamas came to striking a major Israeli city—and how their thwarted plan led to one of the darkest days in Israel’s history.
