As was suspected, most Arab countries, including Egypt and Jordan condemned Netanyahu's speech from last night.
Much of Egypt's problems stemmed from the fact that when Netanyahu laid out the facts of what Hamas had done on the "Philadelphi Corridor" all these years - it was easy (though Netanyahu did not say this) to infer that all this was don't with, at best, Egypt turning a blind eye to it - at worst with their direct involvement.
Even so - they are not the only voices in Egypt.
A newly formed group who is posting on X in HEBREW and is called "Egypt in Hebrew" is made up of many prosperous, educated and in some cases, influential Egyptians who see things differently. A tiny minority maybe, but they have hopes that they might make a change.
Here is what they had to say (Translated from Hebrew)
We, as the founding group of Egypt in Hebrew, agree with everything that was said in the speech of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the Philadelphia axis. His words are completely true and there is no exaggeration or intimidation in them.
Our deep belief in peace and our concerns for the future of the region compel us all to declare this - especially at this critical stage, in which strong alliances are revealed between the forces of evil, and the destruction Arab countries.
