Astana Agreement:

Started in January 2017.
Essentially, it is a peace process involving Russia, Turkey, Iran, the Syrian government, and Syrian opposition groups.
Its goal was to reduce violence in Syria by creating “de-escalation zones” in conflict areas such as Idlib.
Arab countries supervised these zones, facilitated prisoner exchanges, and ensured the delivery of humanitarian aid.
The agreement effectively completed the UN-led Geneva talks, but faced challenges such as violations and limited participation by Syrian opposition groups.

Sochi Agreement:

Enacted in September 2018 between Russia and Turkey.

Its aim was to prevent attacks by the Syrian government in Idlib.
As part of the agreement, a demilitarized zone was established, and joint Russian-Turkish forces were deployed to monitor the implementation of the agreement. While this reduced the risk of immediate conflict, the implementation of the agreement faced many obstacles due to continuous violations and an extremist presence in the area (both from pro-Iranian militias and all al-Qaeda affiliates).

WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED?

The Russians, just like the rest of the Europeans, are unfamiliar with the Middle Eastern jungle, where new agreements are drawn up every morning with the clear knowledge that they will be violated very quickly.

The Turks, who are relentlessly slaughtering the Kurds, have not stopped the fighting for a single moment In the Kurds in northern Syria.

The Syrians, who have been slaughtering their own citizens for over 12 years with the help of Lebanese Hezbollah and pro-Iranian militias - have not stopped for a moment either.

The Russians have learned to be bullies because in practice they have been bombing the Idlib region and the Syrian deserts from the air for several years from morning to night - this under the pretext of fighting terrorists affiliated with Al-Qaeda and ISIS, but at the end of the day, they are also slaughtering innocent Syrian civilians on a daily basis.

The Iranians, continuing to "be loyal" to the so-called Syrian regime with the goal of arming Hezbollah, supporting the Syrian army through their militias, attacking US military bases in eastern Syria and most importantly: - preparing in the Damascus, Homs and southern Syria area for the moment of the order to attack Israel.

What will happen next???

In my opinion, apart from threats and empty promises, the Russians will not act against the Turks unless they take some hasty action in the form of a major attack or a series of consecutive attacks aimed at the Syrian and/or Russian military bases.

ISRAEL MUST NOT FORGET FOR A MOMENT:

All the forces operating in Syria, although some serve the Israeli goal - none of them are on our side and certainly do not want our best interests at heart.
