On July 29, it was reported that reservists had been arrested on suspicion of abusing a security detainee. On August 6, Guy Peleg aired a video on Channel 12 that supposedly documented an "act of rape" by IDF soldiers.

The consequences of the publication, completely different from the prosecution's claim, were extremely serious:

‏1.⁠ ⁠Between July 28 and August 9, the phrase "Sde Teiman concentration camp" appeared more than 88,500 times and received 92.8 million views on the X network.

‏2.⁠ ⁠Articles echoing the accusation of abuse and rape were published in all the major media outlets in the world, such as: Reuters, BBC, New York Times and Al Jazeera.
‏3.Prominent accounts hostile to the State of Israel, each with tens of millions of followers, published the video as alleged evidence of the IDF's war crimes.
4.⁠ ⁠On the X network, there was a 200% increase in the use of the term "rape" in a false context of the Yemeni field.

In conclusion, on the X network alone, the publication received hundreds of millions of impressions. This was without any connection to publication in major media outlets.

The result, well, is a severe demonization of IDF soldiers, accusing them of serious war crimes, and in addition, a nazification of the IDF and the State of Israel, which supposedly uses concentration camps.

There is no case that has caused more serious image damage to the State of Israel and its soldiers throughout the war.

The Attorney General's statement that "no harm was caused to Israel's security" is not only false and completely disconnected from factual reality, but also a spit in the face of IDF soldiers and Israeli citizens.

Instead of serving as a defensive wall for IDF soldiers, the Attorney General's Office is protecting their slanderers, those who promoted a despicable blood libel against our fighters.

This is a new low of politicization, lack of credibility and irresponsibility.

What a shame and disgrace!
