The UN Chief Antonio Guterres has issued a statement after Israel’s airstrikes in Yemen saying he ”regrets the recent escalation between Yemen and Israel, and remains deeply concerned about the risk of further escalation in the region.
He says the airstrikes against Sana’a International Airport, the Red Sea ports and power stations in Yemen are ”especially alarming.”
Guterres calls on ”all parties to cease military actions and exercise utmost restraint” while adding that ”International law must be respected” and that ”Civilians and humanitarian workers must never be targeted”
Guterres naturally said nothing when the Houthis fired ballistic missiles against Israel all week.
He also, as can be seen in the photo attached, has no problem meeting and welcoming Vladamir Putin....
