Over the years, Iran and its proxies have used the chaos of the Syrian Civil War to increase their presence in the area, posing a growing threat to Israel’s security.

Although now the leadership in Syria has changed, the threat has not.

In response, the Israeli Defense Forces reinforced their positions, launched precision strikes against hostile targets in Syria and Lebanon, and remain on high alert to counter any attacks from Iranian militias or their allies.
