I want to talk about this crazy picture. This photo was taken on October 7th on Route 232 in the Nova Party area in the morning hours.
In this photo, you can see from the back 6 policemen behind a police car when they are faced further down the road by two vans loaded with terrorists, when there are also many terrorists on the sides of the road.
Each of the police officers is armed with a pistol while the terrorists are facing them with machine guns, grenades and RPG rockets.
The six policemen know it's a lost cause and there's no chance they'll get out of there alive, but they're alert and ready. They stood there as a wall in shape with thousands of young people behind them that they had to protect.
Those six officers fell, at that point, none of them had bullets left in their guns. They fought to the end, saving many lives during this time.
This picture means it all. The heroism of the policemen, the war of the few against the many, the courage, the Israeli spirit, the sacrifice. The heroes who saved our country that day against the surprise attack of the terrorist organization Hamas.
59 policemen and policewomen were killed in the battles on October 7 and since then, for the first time since the establishment of the state that the Israel Police found themselves fighting on the territory of the State of Israel face to face with terrorists in dozens of arenas.
It is important that we cherish and remember these heroes and heroines who gave everything 9 months ago for us. Let us be worthy.
