NEWSRAEL: Biden adds fuel to Hamas lies that Israel "indiscriminately bombed civilian areas" - the IDF took far-fatched steps never done before in history of warfare to alert civilians to get out of harms way!
During an interview that aired on MSNBC's "The Last Word" on Thursday, President Joe Biden revealed that he began urging Israel to limit its military actions against Hamas to reduce civilian casualties shortly after the October 7 attack.
Biden explained that when he visited Israel a few days later, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confronted him about his calls for restraint, stating, “You can’t indiscriminately bomb civilian areas, even if the bad guys are present.”
He emphasized that losing innocent lives to target one bad person is unacceptable. Biden acknowledged Netanyahu’s perspective, noting the challenges of dealing with Hamas operatives hidden in extensive underground tunnels, some reaching depths of 200 feet. He remarked that this was the first time he discussed the implications of bombing civilian areas.
When host Lawrence O’Donnell inquired if Biden had addressed the potential for a ceasefire during that initial visit, Biden clarified, “Not a ceasefire, but how to prevent innocent deaths.” He noted that he strongly advocated for increased humanitarian aid and methods to facilitate its delivery, while also recognizing the difficulties Netanyahu faces with his highly conservative coalition.
