President-elect Donald Trump has appointed Adam Buehler as the special presidential envoy to address the issue of hostages, stating that Buehler will operate with "the rank of personal ambassador."
In a post on Truth Social, Trump praised Buehler’s experience, noting, "Adam served as the lead negotiator for my team during the Abraham Accords.
He has engaged with some of the toughest negotiators globally, including the Taliban, but he understands that no one is tougher than the United States of America, especially under my leadership."
Trump emphasized Buehler's commitment, saying, "Adam will work tirelessly to bring our great American citizens home."
He also highlighted that Buehler was unanimously confirmed by the US Senate as the inaugural CEO of the US Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and is an alumnus of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
