The 90-year-old Turkish Hayrettin Karaman, Islamic jurist and the main religious head of Erdogan and the Turkish Muslim Brotherhood party, says that Turkey must strive for nuclear capabilities in order to deal with Israel, establish deterrence against it and even destroy it in the future.
In an article published on September 8 in the Islamic daily Yeni Shapak, Karaman claimed that Turkey's current efforts are not enough to stop Israel. He wrote that the Islamic world must unite and cooperate with China and Russia, or that Turkey must advance to the annihilation of Israel by acquiring warheads and nuclear weapons.
Karaman praised the Erdogan government's efforts to promote the defense industry and improve Turkey's conventional warfare capabilities. However, he criticized the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) signed by Turkey on the grounds that the nuclear powers recognized in the treaty are colonialists seeking to maintain their influence through military force and if the countries they exploit acquire nuclear weapons, they will no longer be able to continue their oppression.
Perhaps Iran is currently the head of the octopus, but Turkey is the most dangerous country in the Middle East - only a matter of time until they leave NATO and act militarily against Israel, but in the end this act of abandoning the West and NATO will be best for Israel.
