- This was a direct hit by a rocket and not by a UAV. Hezbollah launched heavy barrages of more than 40 rockets into the Golan Heights and the Upper Galilee.

One of the rockets caused a fatal and direct hit on a soccer field where a game was being played at the time of the shooting. 

NOW: VERIFIED REPORT THAT THERE ARE 9 KILLED IN THIS ATTACK

These are the latest updates which came in before the terrible news that at least 9 have been killed:

- Large forces of Magen David Adom were launched to the scene of the event. Initial reports MDA medics and paramedics are treating approximately 9 victims in critical condition aged 10 to 20 and victims who were transferred to local clinics. 

Evacuation helicopters, ambulances and intensive care vehicles were dispatched to the scene. As mentioned, the reports are preliminary reports only.

Senior medic at MDA Idan Avshalom said:

"We arrived at a soccer field and saw destruction and objects on fire. There were injured people lying on the grass and the sights were dire, we immediately started sorting the injured, some of the injured were taken to local clinics and our teams were directed to the clinics as well.

During the incident there were additional alerts and the medical treatment of the injured is still ongoing."
