Families and friends of the new president of Lebanon, General Joseph Aoun, were slaughtered by Palestinians in one of the most infamous massacres committed by Palestinians against Maronite Christians: The Aishiyeh massacre.
President oseph Aoun hails from the town of Aishiyeh in Jezzine.
The Aishiyeh massacre was a massacre in 1976 in Aishiyeh, Lebanon, in which the Syrians backed Palestinians and slaughtered at least 70 Lebanese Christian Maronite civilians, including at least 7 children, 100 were injured, thousands fled.
Four Christian men were beheaded, at least one was burned alive, women were raped and children were killed by Palestinians.
The Christians fled, the village was depopulated and used as Palestine Liberation Organization base of operation.
