Hizb ut-Tahrir Activist Dr. Ayman Hameed Calls for New Syrian State to Engage in “Holy Jihad” to Liberate Palestine in Chicago Conference
American Hizb ut-Tahrir activist Dr. Ayman Hameed discussed Jihad at a December 28, 2024 conference in Chicago, titled “Hurry to Success – Weekend Conference on the Islamic Movement,” which was organized by Islamic Oasis. He stated that if an Islamic state is declared in Syria, it must have a "plan of expansion" and declare a "holy Jihad," with the goal of liberating Palestine and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Previously, during a Hizb ut-Tahrir demonstration in front of the Egyptian consulate in Chicago on October 23, 2023, where he wore a Hizb ut-Tahrir scarf, Hameed called on the Egyptian military to "come to the help" of Palestinians in Gaza and liberate Palestine and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Islamic Oasis center and mosque in Chicago also runs an Islamic charity, and its director, Muhammad Shiraz, is linked to Hizb ut-Tahrir. Hizb ut-Tahrir was banned in Britain in January 2024. Shiraz spoke at the organization’s Khilafah Conference in March 2024, and many guests on his Islamic Oasis podcast are former or current members of Hizb ut-Tahrir.
