Tests on the ship showed that the soil contained traces of clay-like materials, marine sediments and even the remains of marine organisms such as mollusks.
A group of international scientists confirmed that they have found evidence confirming the discovery of the remains of Noah’s Ark, which saved humanity more than five thousand years ago from the great flood that struck the Earth, and which is mentioned in the Bible, the Quran and other holy books.
According to information published by the British newspaper “Daily Mail” and reviewed by “Al Arabiya Net”, an international research team from several countries came to this conclusion, determining that the remains of this ship were found in a remote area of Turkey. The newspaper also revealed that work is underway to turn the ship into a tourist attraction so that people from all over the world can visit it will be able to see it.
Scientists say they have discovered a boat-shaped mound in Turkey that sank 5,000 years ago, the same time as the great flood mentioned in the Quran and the Bible.
An international team of researchers claims that a boat-shaped mound located 18 miles (30 km) south of Mount Ararat in Turkey is actually the fossilized remains of a wooden ship.
The mound is called the Durupinar Formation and is a 163-meter (538-foot) high geological formation made of a type of iron ore called limonite. This structure has long attracted the interest of researchers, as its shape and structure are almost identical to that mentioned about the ship in the Quran and the Bible.
According to a report by the Daily Mail, new evidence suggests that this mound was indeed subject to a devastating flood 5,000 years ago. This report is consistent with the religious narrative of a flood that covered the area between 3,000 and 5,500 BC.
“Our studies show that this area was home to people at that time and was submerged at some point, raising the possibility of a massive disaster,” the researchers said.
Since 2021, a joint research team from Istanbul Technical University, Agri Ibrahim Cegin University, and Andrews University in the United States has been investigating the site under the supervision of the Mount Ararat and Noah’s Ark Research Team.
