We will not solve this crisis for Hezbollah; it must first surrender its weapons – Who forced Hezbollah to start a war with Israel on October 8?
In an October 9, 2024, interview with LBC TV (Lebanon), Lebanese MP Nadim Gemayel of the Kataeb Party stated that Hezbollah is reaping what it has sown.
He emphasized that the conflict is not between Lebanon and Israel, but rather between Hezbollah and Israel. Gemayel declared that there would be no ceasefire until Hezbollah surrenders its weapons, arguing that those weapons have failed to protect any Lebanese, Shiites, or even Hassan Nasrallah.
He pointed out that no one forced Hezbollah to join the war in Syria, train the Houthis in Yemen, or initiate the war with Israel on October 8.
Gemayel concluded, "We will not solve the crisis for Hezbollah, in order to solve its crisis today, Hezbollah needs to hand over its weapons."
Nadim Gemayel: "Unfortunately, Hezbollah is reaping today what it has been sowing for the past 20 years. Hezbollah has threatened us, killed us, destroyed us, and has tried all the time to push Lebanese society as a whole. Hezbollah would not let anyone speak freely, and would not let the state get back on its feet.
