WATCH: Why Donald Trump Deserves the Nobel Prize

Preserving the Abraham Accords amid Terror and Regional Unrest

In the aftermath of October 7th, many pundits grappled with the timing behind Hamas’s brutal assault on Israel.

Why now? The answer, as perplexing as it may sound, is that Hamas chose this moment to derail the momentum of the Abraham Accords—a monumental shift in Middle East geopolitics engineered by Donald J. Trump.

By inciting chaos and drawing Arab public opinion against Israel, Hamas aimed to halt the growing rapprochement between Israel and Arab states, particularly the looming Saudi deal that could have sealed a historic peace framework.

A Historic Diplomatic Breakthrough

The Abraham Accords, signed in 2020, were nothing short of revolutionary. For decades, Israel’s neighbors refused recognition, insisted on perpetual conflict, and tangled the region in bitter antagonism.

Then, Trump did what many thought impossible: Israel found itself forging diplomatic and economic ties with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan.

The world watched in astonishment as historic handshake after handshake redefined the Middle Eastern chessboard. No one expected such a breakthrough in our lifetime, certainly not with the entrenched narratives and alignments that had dominated the Middle East for generations.

These Accords didn’t just bring official recognition; they enabled tangible cooperation, from defense protocols to economic ventures. They shattered long-standing myths and showed that common interests, prosperity, security, and stability, trump old grievances.

But Hamas, tethered to Iranian influence and Qatari funding, saw these diplomatic gains as an existential threat to their narrative. A region at peace, with Israel integrated and welcomed, weakens Iran’s propaganda that Israel stands alone, surrounded by enemies and pariahs. The Abraham Accords effectively cornered Iran, undercutting its attempts to position itself as the leader of anti-Israel resistance and regional dominance.

Under a second Trump administration, the approach to Iran’s nuclear ambitions and regional meddling could pivot dramatically. Trump’s original vision, where NATO allies and Middle Eastern partners step up, share the load, and collaborate in containing both Tehran and transnational terrorism, might reemerge even bolder.

With Saudi Arabia potentially joining the Accords, the Middle East might finally see an epoch of genuine peace and cooperation. Imagine Arab states openly embracing relationships with Israel without fearing Iranian or Qatari retaliation. Such a scenario, once a pipe dream, is now within reach.

A Nobel-Worthy Triumph

Poland’s unwavering solidarity with the U.S. on the Eastern European frontier and Israel’s central role in containing Iranian aggression, these are the new spines of America’s global strategy. Trump’s team, by reaffirming the Abraham Accords and expanding them, could well bring a lasting calm.

If that vision comes to fruition, and the region begins trading in bullets for business, in generational hatred for pragmatic alliance, then perhaps Donald J. Trump has more than earned consideration for a Nobel Prize. When the old enmities fade and cooperation becomes the norm, history might just say: he helped push the seemingly impossible into reality.

Let Donald Trump have his way, along with Bibi to make the Middle East at least more peaceful as long as the terrorist in Syria don't infringe on Israel.
