WATCH: Iranians are expected to lose their last "colony" - Iraq

Nadim Koteich, The Lebanese-Shiite commentator and journalist specializing in Iran and the Shiite world, says that Iraq is also about to break away from the Iranian axis, and this is expected to be quick and painful for the Iranians.

After the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah, the major blow suffered by his organization, the assassination of Hamas leaders and the major blow suffered by this organization as well, the fall of the Syrian regime and the loss of the entire axis - it seems that Iran is expected to lose its last control over what was called the Iranian axis to the Mediterranean - Iraq.

The reason? The return to the political arena in Iraq of the one who was the Prime Minister of Iraq between the years 2020-2022, Mustafa al-Qatami.

Al-Qatimi, a nationalist Shiite Iraqi who sees himself first and foremost as an Arab, did not agree to his country being under Iranian occupation.

He tried to limit the pro-Iranian Shiite militias, and as a result got into trouble with the Iranians, who in 2022 were still at the height of their power, and they forced him to resign and go into exile. In his place came Muhammad al-Sudani, a prime minister who is much more of an Iranian puppet.

His return this time comes after the enormous blow suffered by the Iranian axis, and the collapse of its axis states, the collapse of Syria and the collapse of Hezbollah in Lebanon, and he returned with American, Saudi and Emirati support.

He returned to limit (and perhaps even eliminate) the pro-Iranian militias in his country, to return Iraq to being pro-Western and pro-Arab, to receive investments from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in the reconstruction of his country, which are so necessary, after 20 years of war and instability.

This time, when the Iranians are weak and all the regimes loyal to them in neighboring countries have collapsed, this may also succeed, and this is the biggest nightmare of the Revolutionary Guards in Tehran.

If Iraq also breaks away from Iran - Iran is left alone with the Houthis in Yemen, when it is easy to besiege them and cut them off from it.

That will really put the mullahs' backs against the wall. No question they'll push to get a nuclear weapon now. Israel needs to destroy their nuclear facilities ASAP!
