The Egyptian military expert, retired Major General Muhammad Kashkoosh said that "carrying out a military operation in the Palestinian Rafah is a matter of life or death for the Israeli side.
If Israel does not carry out this operation, it will be as if it has achieved nothing in this war, and it will amount to a severe military defeat for it since it did not achieve its stated goals from the beginning of the war, part of which is the elimination of the Hamas movement and the release of the hostages.
"The strategic diplomatic solution that Egypt is looking for is to end this war at this stage, solve the problem of the Israeli hostages and establish a comprehensive solution to the conflict by declaring a two-state solution.
There are many concerns about the implementation of Israel's military operation in Rafah, it is going to be difficult for both sides, including the Israeli side, the invasion could lead to the killing of Israeli hostages, and there is great difficulty in avoiding civilian casualties.
One of the American conditions for carrying out a military operation in Rafah is to avoid harming civilians, and therefore Israel will have to attack surgically to reduce civilian casualties."
Last Thursday, Israel informed Egypt of the entry into Rafah that will take place over the next few days.
The head of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs and Ambassador Mohammed Al Arabi were informed by the Israelis that - "Israel intends to carry out a military operation in Rafah and it will be very soon.
