Life on Hold: A family's story of displacement amid conflict

Amidst the ongoing conflict near the Lebanese border, one voice stands out – that of Adrian Chonovitz. Having immigrated to Israel with her family over three decades ago.

Adrian's life took an unexpected turn six months ago when they were evacuated from their home on the picturesque kibbutz of Mayan Baruch.

Sharing her story from the temporary refuge of a nearby hotel, Adrian reflects on the challenges and uncertainties her family faces each day. "We miss our home, and we really long to get back to our daily lives," she laments, highlighting the profound impact of displacement on her family's sense of stability and belonging.

Despite the hardships they endure, Adrian remains hopeful for the future. "We hold onto hope for a resolution to the conflict," she says, underscoring the resilience and determination that sustain them through difficult times.

As the conflict rages on, Adrian's story serves as a poignant reminder of the human cost of war – a cost measured not only in physical destruction but also in the displacement and disruption of countless lives like her own.

If there were no postzionists in the war cabinet would israel's reaction have been more immediate to the northern aggression?
